Product Capabilities and Value

Every amplifier needs a low loss method to combine the laser pump power at 980 or 1480 nm into the 1550 nm data stream fiber. And with the need for higher amplification, these combiners need to handle high optical power.

The WaveSplitter WDM products are fused biconic couplers and offer low insertion loss to minimize wasted pump power. The all-fiber design means it won't have trouble handling high power. WaveSplitter has designed our manufacturing capacity to allow high volume production while maintaining good performance and repeatability, which translates into quick delivery at a good value, whether you need 100 or 10,000 units.
